Lifetime Achievement Award Winners - Craig Forster
The Salt Lake Sustainable Building Conference is proud to award the SLSBC Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously to Dr. Craig Forster. As Director of the Office of Sustainability at the University of Utah, Dr. Forster bridged gaps between environmental science and public policy. He was dedicated to exploring the interface between social institutions and the natural environment. Originally trained as a hydrogeologist, Dr. Forster spent almost three decades studying and modeling groundwater flow, petroleum migration/production, carbon dioxide sequestration, solute transport and heat transfer in geologic systems. He co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in this arena. He will best be remembered as a passionate steward of mother earth, living in ways that provided practical examples of how to create a healthier environment for future generations.
